This website is about the things that are moving me forward in business and the lessons I’ve learned (and still continue to learn) that I would like to pass on to others, the New Entrepreneurs . And right now, I’m in the process of expanding a business that I started back in December 2013, with a the desire to move away from the typical 9 to 5— or in my line of work, the 7 to 7.
I’m a registered nurse by (recent) training, and I started my nursing career on a burn/trauma unit at a major hospital in the DC area. I’ve since then moved into the Emergency Room and just recently started working as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, specifically as an IPV/SANE, Intimate Partner Violence/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
With the move from working as a full-time nurse on the unit to a Per Diem nurse in the ER and as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, I’ve been given the opportunity to make my own schedule and concentrate on things that excite me.
My desire is to keep my inner travel bug on its toes. And, running a successful business to do just that is my goal. Also, with learning to start a business through lots of trial and error, I’ve decided to create a blueprint that could help guide the New Entrepreneur in building a foundation for business to be poised for growth. My goals in creating this website and content are to tell a story concerning:
- My Journey with entrepreneurship,
- My Journey with travel,
- Helpful tips to guide the New Entrepreneur,
- Sharing knowledge among New Entrepreneurs in a forum, and
- All things in between.
And, by documenting this journey, I hope to inspire others to go out and accomplish their life-long desires as well. So, this is only the beginning…
